Hi I've changed from PayPal to receive payments from eBay when selling an altered my 'name' to the same as my bank account.

EBay have put a message (in red) on my seller hub that I need to update my account details.

When I click on their Update Account Details I'm asked to verify your bank account by entering deposit amounts.

There is no money from eBay in my account as I haven't sold anything since switching.

Can anyone reasure me that this is ok please? (Earlier this year I was scammed on my Barclaycard account so feeling very wary.)

Look at your Bank Account, ebay send two Micro Payments, something like 5p and 3p. That is what they are asking you to enter. That proves that you are the account owner.

Once you do that they take back the small amounts using Direct Debit.
