Problems changing bank account

I have just changed my bank account and have been trying to delete the old account and register the new bank. However, Ebay is using the same account holder name as my previous bank, which is my christian name and surname, but my new bank is using my initials and surname. There seems to be no way of correcting the name on my account whilst Ebay insists it must match my account.

Does anyone know how I overcome this?

It isn't just eBay. For both cheques and internet banking, the banks themselves today insist that names must exactly match the account name.

There must be a way to change your bank details in eBay. If you can't amend the account name, you may have to delete the account from eBay, and then re-enter it correctly.

Unfortunately Ebay enter the account name automatically and there is no way of changing it. I guess I will have to put it through as it is and wait and see if there are any problems.

Put the new bank details through but Ebay is still showing the old cancelled bank account. I marked the new account as being the one to use but Ebay is not showing at all. I have to say that all the new changes have made using Ebay much more difficult than it was before. Even this site is more confusing than previously.
