It is as you say probably scammers who know that large envelopes are not tracked

If you are going to send that way then you have to allow for losses

Or you pay the extra and add a tracked method of postage

Proof of postage is not proof of delivery just that you posted it

You may be able to claim off RM for lost items and they record addresses not delivered item claims against them.

You would have to check as some of your items may not be covered at all as many items are restricted

Hello

In the last six month or so I am having lots of buyers claiming they haven't received their items. I dont charge for postage so if an under is under £15 or so I usually send by second class llarge letter but no 'signed for'

It is only these lower value items that buyers say they haven't received and although I provide eBay and the buyer with proof of postage label I still have to refund the buyer. I am absolutely sure that this is just another form of scam but what to do about it other than always send items, even very low items, with registered post.

Thanks for your input

Lynda
