Spares / Repair Item - Buyer Complaining it Doesn't Work !!

I sometimes sell items that don't work for spares repair that I would otherwise throw away just on the basis that someone else might be able to fix them or use them for spares. I sold an item recently and clearly said it was Spares / Repairs in the title and description. The buyer has now raised an 'Item not as Described Dispute' because they say the item 'doesn't work'.

I messaged the buyer and pointed out that it was sold as not working but I've had no response.

I don't really want the item back because a) it doesn't work and b) its heavy so the return postage cost is high.

Any advice ?

If they have opened a not as described dispute then you have to deal with it.

YOu send a pre paid label for the return if you want it back.

Once you have it back then you refund in full.

If you dont then ebay will force it and you will pay the fees and a defect on your account

If you dont want it back and it is cheaper then you could just refund without the return

It is up to you to decide

Ebay will go with the buyer

If it is the Vacuum sold in FEBRUARY then it is way out of time for the buyer to open any case.

Buyer is also out of time for leaving feedback so you can safely ignore and just place on BLOCKED BIDDERS LIST.
