Payments being on hold

Dear members,

I have removed all my item for sale as ebay owe me over £400 in payment which are being held in their account gather interest for their profits.

I will no longer be held to ransom.

Ebay expects the seller to

1. Buy or make the goods

2. Sell the goods

3. Pay for postage

4. Send the goods

Then wait 30 days for payment while the buyer has had the goods for 30 days.

Is this fair?? This has gone way beyond a fair system. I slod my last item yesterday and issued a refund as I was unwilling to wait for payment for my hand made goods. The Refund will come out of my bank account not the money sitting waiting to be cleared. Are we mad???

I am sure im not the only person to be stung by these changes, unfortunatelty I won't be the last.

I wonder if ebay would accept my monthly fees to be held for 30 days????

As a new seller, you are subject to 21 day hold on funds until you prove reliable, if you add tracking when marking as posted, money is released earlier.

As previously pointed out you are a business seller trading as a private seller.

that's in violation of eBay rules and the law.

Unacceptable, I will use a fairer platform to sell my items. Maybe you work for ebay but you should look online there are many former ebay sellers all saying the same. This new system is totally unfair and completely biased towards the buyer.You should try buying from Amazon and say thanks, you'll get the money in 21 days.Sent from my Galaxy

"Member To Member Support " NO ebay staff here, payment hold is blanket policy for ALL new & returning sellers, as said once you have established yourself, payments are quicker, although Managed payments are not as quick as paypal. No one likes it, but we either accept it or don't use ebay.
