Hi, is anyone else having problems with restricted items that necessitate a credit card as proof of age?

I have a credit card registered on my account but when I try to bid and I am asked to put in the credit card details I am logged out of my account and get an error page.

The problem is described by eBay as a technical issue and has persisted for around a year.

Can anyone suggest a fix to this? I know that some people can buy the same items I can't.

I am not sure where you are being asked to enter your card details when trying to pay.

As far as I am aware you have to have the card registered with Ebay, if it is already registered have you checked that it has not expired, or close to expiry.?

Thank John. Yes the credit card is registered and not close to expiring. I am just trying to buy some cutlery and when I bid credit card confirmation is required but this only leads to an error page. It’s a problem that has been going on for about a year.
