&lt;P&gt;Change password &amp;amp; log out of ebay if not using it, surprising how many, children, cats, dogs, etc buy items on ebay.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Cancellation request denied after buying in error</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My child accidentally bought a buy it now item on saturday evening whilst messing with my phone, I noticed and I &amp;nbsp;requested to cancel within 5 min of buying, I have not paid any money yet. 2 days later my request was denied , saying it was already posted. I have not receive a dispatched email from eBay to say it was despatched. Now the seller is ignoring my messages. What is the best way to resolve this issue?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you haven't paid no one can force you to.&amp;nbsp; If it's a business seller they're supposed to accept "change of mind" cancellations.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; If it's a private seller they don't.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; They will probably do an Unpaid Item case instead to get their selling fee back from ebay.&amp;nbsp; That will put a (hidden) non-payment strike on your account.&amp;nbsp; One won't have any affect as long as you don't get any more.&amp;nbsp; If it is a business seller you can apply to ebay to get it removed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="5"&gt;If that really is the case [and it might just be an automatic message] then if it does arrive you can contac the seller and offer - if she pays for the postage - to return it.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="5"&gt;There is no automatic right to cancel on eBay and what she may do is simply open a non-payer case and if you do not pay you get a defect.&amp;nbsp; More than one defect will get you stopped from buying from many wise sellers.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; The underlying focus is that you are responsible 100% for your account and must take steps to protect devices from children, babies and domestic animals&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
