Distance options

Why does the distance option not appear on many of my searches? Also on those that it does appear why has Ebay forced me to use preset distances rather than entering my own as I used to do?

Both of these things are most inconvenient e.g. I am looking for an item of furniture where they are all marked as collection only being able to specify a distance rather than have to view loads that won't buy because it would cost more to collect than the item is worth. And the second one means I can't select the mileage I am prepared to travel and ensure that I don't waste time viewing items outside that area

How are you searching? Have you tried ADVANCED SEARCH, next to the search box, t has a lot more options.

Thanks for that John I had forgotten that advanced search has the distance options. Strangely enough this morning the distance options are back at the side of the search pages although still only with the pre-set ones rather than allowing me to enter my own
