I have noticed that 2 similar items from different manufacturers from 2 different sellers have identical reviews from identical (supposed) purchasers. Can we no longer trust Ebay reviews?

'reviews' are about the item and ebay add the reviews to all listings that are for the same item

Thank you for your reply. But the items are not the identical. They are made in different factories by different companies, of different quality, different size and sold in different packaging. I thought I would be able to use reviews to help me decide which product is the best quality for the price, in order to inform my decision on which one to buy.

they are identical as far as ebay are concerned, they don't look at the items they just go by the title or EAN number that the sellers use, reviews on ebay are very hit and miss because of this.
