I've been considering the newish Royal Mail Click & Drop service as it looks like any post box can be used and I have a post box literally outside my gate.

I would only use it for low value items, below £20 but apart from having to hang around my gate wating for the post box to be emptied as the slot is too small for a parcel are there any pitfalls I should be aware of please?

It is not any old "Post Box". They are special Boxes, our Local One is ouside Delivery Office.

I have not seen an explanation of how the Tracking Works as all Parcel Labels have a tracking number when isued, and I assume it applies to Labels Printed for Parcels Posted this way, but it does leave the Seller with no proof of postage that a parcel has actually been posted.

I am sure that RM would not pay out on any claim without proof of posting.

I printed the prepaid label via eBay, went to the RM site to arrange collection and on the it states drop your item off in one of our post boxes or parcel post box, I put in my post code and my post box was there so I thought I might have a chat with my friendly postie and see if I can just hand it to him. The label has a QR code on it, I wonder if that's scanned by the postie and you get PoP that way.
