No I didn't buy the coin. I have just seen the buyer go through the pain with mckenp10 having left positive feedback initially. Guess what. Seller has stuck on a different coin also fake and got £72 for it. Ebay is a disgrace.

I reported a coin to Ebay several days ago that I was pretty sure was a fake after having first asking the seller whether it was a fake and receiving no reply.

The coin has just sold for £155. If it is a fake, then it is £150 more than it is worth and Ebay would be complicit in a fraud.

 What do I do?

Is the Seller who is Culpable. Ebay are an Unregulated Selling Platform.

Use the Ebay Money Back Guarantee and open a Case in the Resolution Centre for Item Not As Described. Escalate the Case after 4 full days. Ebay will Force the Refund if the Seller doesn't comply.

Have you bought the coin? If so open a not as described case. If you mean it's been sold to another ebayer it is up to them to use the ebay MBG to return for a full refund.

Ebay doesn't know whether it is a fake or not, but they will always take the buyer's word for it that it is.
