Question Re: Doing a partial refund. in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Unfortunately the return request had automatically been accepted by EBay before I’d had a chance to message buyer. Once contacted, the buyer wanted to accept partial refund and no longer wanted to return the item but there wasn’t any way to apply this decision to the system? Our only solution is for buyer to ignore prompts to return item until deadline passes and the request closes itself which is not the best way forward for either of us but hey ho.

Hi, I’m trying to refund a buyer a partial amount of sale price. They have already opened a return request and it’s been automatically accepted. The buyer paid through new EBay payments system not PayPal. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Your buyer will have to close that return case first, a partial refund cannot be made whilst that is opened.

Then you find the order in your sold listing, from drop down menu select Send Refund. Select the reason and enter the amount for the refund, and select Send Refund.

Use a desktop browser, and not the app to manage this.
