Happened to me twice now. I have marked items as collection only and have had good buyers organising couriers. How do I mark these items as collected? I can’t add the collection no as the courier doesn’t have it and I can’t add the courier delivery codes. How do I override? Thanks

You should be able to mark the item a ‘Paid and Collected’ in the “More Actions” dropdown menu next to the item in your Sold list.

Collection items should be paid for in CASH and collected in person.

Items collected in person are still covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee if paid for with PayPal, however eBay Money Back Guarantee does not cover cash on collection transactions, or transactions where the item was not collected by the buyer.

In addition to @john1297576 help there is a "theoretical" risk that buyer could deny having had the item [or that the collection has nothing to do with him]. As you identify you cannot prove delivery by tracking and would probably have to refund even through Paypal.

"Collection" really should mean he comes round with a wodge of cash and goes away happy.

Thanks. Yes, but in COVID times I try to be flexible. If they want to get a courier, that's fine. Anyway, buyer was happy and sent me message to tell me she was pleased. So I'm happy. Thanks for your help.
