    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply. Yes, I opened a case two days ago. I did the live chat thing, and eBay were unable to add my own tracking to the return. They requested I contact the seller with the tracking number so there is a record of it and then if I don't get a refund two days after it arrieves to contact eBay again.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am returning an item using my own courier choice, rather than via eBay. How do I &lt;STRONG&gt;manually&lt;/STRONG&gt; mark the item as &lt;STRONG&gt;discpatched&lt;/STRONG&gt; and add the &lt;STRONG&gt;tracking&lt;/STRONG&gt; numer?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The instruction eBay give are:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Go to the return request in&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.ebay.co.uk/myb/PurchaseHistory#PurchaseHistoryReturnsContainer?" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Purchase History&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Select the postage carrier from the dropdown list. If you select 'Other', enter the carrier name.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Enter the tracking number.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Select&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Mark as sent&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;HOWEVER, there is no postage carrier dropdown list.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I see several posts asking this question, but no answers. Can anyone confirm how to do this? They simply requested I message the seller with my tracking for th record just in case I didn't receive a refund. That way they would be able to step in if a problem arose.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I let my seller know the tracking number of the returned item and recieved a refund the next day, even before the item got back to them.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;It's sadly a case of eBay not understanding the nuance of what you ask.&amp;nbsp; Have you &lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;actually&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt; opened a case with eBay's resolution centre.&amp;nbsp; Unless you do so you may not get your money and certainly will get no support from eBay.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;If you do so ebay will issue the label. If you choose not to use it you can - I understand - get a tracking number from your preferred carrier on despatch and contact eBay [through Help and Contact above] to put in that reference number to the case.&amp;nbsp; If ebay simply provided an "inadequate" label [up to 2 kg by post to return a large item] there is a way by contacting them [again "I understand"] to get a proper label.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;The label sent by eBay has tracking which is pre-entered into the case and I believe the buyer cannot alter that himself.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;Thank you for the update.&amp;nbsp; That's not how we understand it!&amp;nbsp; I hope that what they suggest works. The problem - as you can see - is that there is no way that eBay can monitor the case for "attempted delivery".&amp;nbsp; If the seller does refund all well and good; please let us know.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
