Question Re: Air Pods Pro in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Hi

I had my suspicions so just googled and found this......

As noted by Apple, each AirPod Pro also has its own unique serial number, but you'll want to use the one on the case in most instances. With AirPods (2nd generation) and AirPods Pro, each AirPod also has its own serial number, printed on the AirPod itself

IF this is a business seller then maybe they have more than one pair and are just using the same photos as your listing? They should not do this as pictures form part of the description.

I would be inclined to message the seller and ask them why they are selling more with the same serial number as yours when the serial numbers are supposed to be unique.

IF no response within say 2 or 3 days.......and you have only recently received them...........i would seriously think about opening an item not as described case under Ebays Money back Guarantee.

where do i stand.

When asking questions here, do please say when and how you received the item concerned, and how you paid. All of your rights depend upon this.

In short, there are many counterfeit air pods so it would be wise to start by verifying whether they're authentic. Thus may be harder to do with all inessential shops closed. Maybe there's some guidance on the Apple web site?

If they're fake, you can use eBay's money back guarantee, through the resolution centre (see foot of page). To qualify, you must have paid through eBay's checkout, using PayPal or PayPal Credit, a credit card, debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.

A case must be opened within 30 days after the actual (or latest estimated) delivery date, or, if the seller's return window is longer, within their return window. EBay will almost certainly take your word that they're fake.

If it's already beyond eBay's 30 day time limit you you can still file a dispute under Paypal's longer, 180 day buyer protection policy, see: https://www.paypal.com/uk/smarthelp/article/what-if-i-didn%27t-receive-my-item-or-it%27s-not-as-advertised-faq1344

PayPal is likely to require independent documentary evidence that they're counterfeit. Unlike eBay, PP will also require you to pay for the return postage, unless you first register for their (free) "Return shipping on us" service, see: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns
