Question Re: Packlink in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Was previously using Hermes with eBay and no problems. Then Packlink came along. Had problems printing labels at first then ok. But about 8 weeks ago had a bill for over £80 for a £2.10 parcel that was overweight and monies was going to be taken from my account if I did not dispute it. I did as parcel was not overweight and after two days told to ignore email as sent out in error as testing billing. Now today I received a bill for £2.65 postage but not sent any items since before Christmas.
Called eBay they put me in touch with Packlink via email was asked for my eBay reference but unlike other bills the transaction id and invoice id have no ref to eBay but have only ever used Packlink in association with eBay so where does this come from?
What is more concerning is the money has been taken from my PayPal account.

Has anyone had any problems with Packlink and is eBay trying for us to go back to Royal Mail as it's not first anymore. Maybe I should just use it directly or maybe not at all ?

Contacted Packlink at 3:30 said they were going to look into and escalate the problem and would email me back as case of urgency but still no reply at 6:30

There have been a couple or reports about this.

I would never use packlink and as a seller would only use Royal mail if possible.

A courier if I have to

There are too many problems one way or another with packlink

Ebay are not trying to push you onto Royal MAil in fact the opposite

Much better to be in charge of your own postage.

Thanks for the update. PayPal says packlink charge was not unauthorised but I never agreed or used it.
Will be using Royal Mail from now on even if more expensive and less convenient as shop just round corner.

Its not that much difference 2nd class packet £3.10 going to £3.20 on 1st Jan but ebays prices going up too.

Dont forget then the 1st and 2nd class packets have the 16 digit code on the receipt which acts as tracking. Put it on the item in your sold secion as soon as you post it.
Keep the Post office open.

Doesnt the shop act as a Post Office?.

Thanks will put the code on thanks for tip.
Unfortunately the shop is a coop and does not have a post office nearest one incurs a parking charge so will be going just once or twice a week.
Not heard off Packlink and very hard to have chat conversations. They said looking into thinks. PayPal says transaction was authorised yet I have no knowledge or what it’s for. They closed the case and virtual chat does not work so will contact them again tomorrow. No info on where the parcel has come or gone.
