Hi

I have told them to send me tracking and 1st class payment for postage but
they just keep saying to send the coin back as they've been caught out.
They are ripping off buyers I have told eBay but they have let them
continuing selling pocket change as collectable rare proof coins. Even
though they are ripping off buyers as this is not the first time, I have
even asked them if they'd like £2 paid into their PayPal. Seems they can't
even do this all I get is them messaging me continuously to send back the
evidence.

A seller on eBay is trying to con buyers into buying what they say is a rare brillent proof £2 coin with a picture showing an uncirculated coin, then when it arrives it's a rough looking circulated £2 coin. luckily I was able to get them to return payment. Now they are harrasing me to send back the £2 coin which will cost me more to send, I was willing to pay them back by PayPal but they won't give PayPal details. Now they just keep pestering me even though I told them it's illegal what they are doing, what can I do.

This is the sort of thing ebay's money back guarantee was created for.

If you had opened an ebay not as described case then the seller would have had to provide you with a postage label to return the item and then refund you.

I read that about a return label when I opened it it just said seller
refunded payment. It's not the first time this seller has tried to
purposely falsify a coin showing pictures of perfect proof coins then send
a used coin, surly eBay should do something about it as it's blatant and
dishonest. They keep sending messages to return the £2 coin, I now think
it's getting to the stage they are getting really annoying by asking me to
pay to post this circulated coin back as they realise it evidence rather
than letting me pay them by by PayPal.

tell them to send you the cost of the return postage through PayPal and you will then post it back.

You appear to have chosen to resolve this with the seller yourself, instead of using eBay's money back guarantee. EBay would have dealt with everything, including your refund and requiring the seller to send you a prepaid return label.

As you arranged this return directly with the seller it's between the two of you to sort it out. As you've already been refunded you should agree to return the item, when the seller sends you the cost of return postage.
