Credit Card Details Wiped - Anyone Else?

Hi - just came to pay for something, like you do, only to discover that my long-standing existing credit card details have disappeared. Prompted to enter a new card, but reluctant to do this until I've had some re-assurance from anyone here that this is an e-bay error? I got a call-back from e-bay help but I don't think they are going to do anything about my query somehow. If anyone has had anything similar, I'd like to hear from you please. In the meantime, my basket will be emptied and I'll have to shop elsewhere, so annoying. Thanks, Sue

If old card has expired you have to add new one before you can pay.

ebay are moving sellers over to a new payment system

if you purchase from a seller that has been moved over you have to choose your payment method and imput the details for that method,

Hi, thanks for your response, but it is a different issue.
Once I saw the option for using credit card was not available, I checked my account settings and my credit card had been removed from there, so I'm thinking that doesn't have anything to do with what payment method is being offered. My credit card details have just disappeared - e-bay has wiped them from my records. My worry is that it wasn't e-bay who wiped them and when I go in to re-enter, then a third party may have compromised the e-bay system. I thought if anyone else had experienced the same problem, then I could count it as a glitch, rather than a big issue.

Card details need to be added to paypal not ebay, then you pay with paypal at ebay checkout.

Thanks for your reply. I have just used paypal to make a charity donation, with my credit card, appeared fine. What you say does make sense, but the details are there, I've just checked. I am waiting for them to phone me back now. Thank you!
