Purchased an item chose an address and eBay altered it so I had to cancel ,
they had no right to do it.

Ebay dont change addresses.

can you explain more clearly what happened

Have you checked your account to see what it says on your addresses also on paypal if that was how a payment was made.

If you want to complain to ebay then the use agreement is at the bottom of the page and the address is on there

I was given some options at checkout, sent it to a argos collect store in
Eastbourne so my son in law could collect it as it was for him.
Confirmation of order had a delivery address
To collect from a argos collect store in Worthing where I live. They had no
right to
that.

Ebay dont interfere with transactions or change addresses.

When you pay you choose which address you want.
Have you ordered any other goods at any time for collection from Worthing as the only thing I can think is that it has defaulted without you realising
