Hi There

I Hope you can help . i clearly stated that an item is cash on pick up only as I wanted buyer to be happy and satisfied . A buyer hit the buy it now and paid by paypal . I immedietly refunded to paypal . I told the buyer I would not enter in to any further messaging . i just want to know how to cancel transaction on ebay .get my fees back and relist .any help apprecaited

you can't refuse paypal if the buyer wants to pay that way

you will still be charged the paypal fees and ebay will still charge you the final value fees as you are the one cancelling the transaction

Are you sure that you hadn't listed as Buy It Now with immediate Payment initiated?

You don't just Refund through PayPal. They are a separate Company. Ebay won't know you have Refunded. You will have to wait a few days now until the Refund clears through the Banking System then find More Actions to the right of the Sold Item and Cancel the Sale. You will be Charged the EBay Final Value Fees for a Seller Initiated Cancellation and will have given yourself a Damaging Defect.

You cannot Refuse PayPal as a Payment Option.

thank you for your replies . I will take my listings down as i do not understand the system in place . i have picked up items from sellers often enough . i paid cash on collection and marked it paid .they marked it paid . i have heard that some buyers collect items paid by paypal then say they do not have the item and get a refund . As i do not know how to operate or understand system I will remove the listings until I do . If ebay do not know an item has been refunded and take fees then that is a system problem . Confused . Perhaps sell elsewhere Thank you for taking teh time to answer

Cash on Collection is fine if the Buyer agrees. You cannot write "No PayPal" Buyers can Pay by PayPal if they want to. Cancelling unless the Buyer Requested it is frowned upon by Ebay. They don't like Unhappy Buyers. Therefore Sellers are penalised for "Just Cancelling" a Sale. Ebay will Bill you for your Selling Fees.

What happened with the Symbols? You sold them then Relisted them ?

thank you for your advice .if i cannot refuse paypal to avoid a scam on collection items I cannot sell that way . I will be damned if i will be scammed out of 100s of pounds because a buyer demands paypal . On postal sales yes as that is trust and description which is open to interpretation and buyer should always be protected but on pick up buyer gets ample opportunity to buy after seeing item and testing . on collection I will never take paypal . . advice really helpful as i think i just avoided being scammed . buyer goes away says never picked up item and seller has no proof of postage or signature . Im really not that stupid thanks again .
