'We got your order' - how crude is that?

Am I the only one to find the new eBay message that is sent when you buy something really barbaric? 'We got your order' is rude, abrupt, and semi-literate. Seriously, is that the best a major online retailer can do? It looks like a text message from a pizza delivery guy.

As a seller, I would never dream of sending a message like that to a buyer, and as a buyer, it makes me wince every time I get it. What was wrong with 'Order confirmed' or 'We have received your order'? 'We got your order' - sorry, I just hate it!

Also, it's not even accurate - eBay didn't get the order, the seller did, so who are they to say 'We got your order'?

So do lots of others, but I just ignore it.

Well, I wish they'd just left it as 'Order confirmed' - I didn't have any problem with that at all. But eBay really needs to think about the image it's presenting buyers with.

Ebay can't do that,
they tinker with things that work, but can't fix broken issues.
