why is it so difficult to find a phone number to speak to a human?

You use Help and Contact at the top of the Page. Enter "Customer Support" scroll down to the Phone Link. EBay will Call you back.

Okay thank you for replying I can’t see anything after I tap on help and contact though
I found it yesterday but today I can not find it. There is no obvious number to speak to anyone

log into ebay on your iphone and go to "Help" bottom of the ebay page,then scroll down to use the "Contact us".

A phone option isn't always available.
