    <description>ruby*tuesday - I don't have a tracking number but do have a proof of posting receipt. Hindsight a wonderful thing on my part. Is this a matter of lose my money and lesson learned as I can't do as eBay ask?</description>

      <description>Hi.&lt;BR /&gt;I have asked eBay to intervene and explained that I have returned a faulty item (I have proof of posting). The seller said in an email Via eBay messages, that they would refund the amount paid. I returned the item but no refund was issued and the seller didn’t respond to my last email.&lt;BR /&gt;I asked eBay to intervene. They said they found in my favour and would refund on the return of the item.&lt;BR /&gt;Problem is, I’ve already returned it over a week before I opened a dispute. I don’t have it, the seller does.&lt;BR /&gt;Who do I contact to tell them I can’t carry out their instruction as it’s already been returned? I’ve tried a ‘return email’ but no joy.&lt;BR /&gt;Any advice would be appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.</description>

      <description>You add the Tracking Number into the Returns Case. Once Delivery or Attempted Delivery is Confirmed you will Receive your Refund.</description>

      <description>If a RM Parcel it should have a 16 Digit Reference Number on your Proof of Postage.  Is a Doorstep Scan..Ebay accept it as long as Confirms Delivered.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Add that number to the Case.</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;However you do need to have opened a case.&amp;nbsp; The seller should have sent a label to return which has tracking which updates eBay's system.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;The usual way is that you must open a case and before returning.&amp;nbsp; You do need now to input the tracking or 16-digit number.&amp;nbsp; If you really have not got that then I am afraid [seriously] that nothing can or will be done.&amp;nbsp; The fact that the seller "agreed" to refund does not apply.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;"Proof of delivery by Royal Mail" or no refund through eBay.&amp;nbsp; The seller will damage his account if he were to refund without using eBay system&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>It won’t accept the ref number.&lt;BR /&gt;Think I may have to write this one off. Really annoying as the receipt actually has his house number and postcode immediately under the ref number also!&lt;BR /&gt;Oh well, live and learn.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for your advice guys. Shame I can’t actually show this to someone at eBay. Just hate the feeling of being ‘had over’.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks again and stay safe.</description>
