eBay managed payment fee structure confusing and threats?

it started with the option to try it,

became a threat to accept it or get restricted...

while the fee structure is confusing and sound like a rip off

for example if you sell something with managed payment youll pay more then doublle in eBay fees compared to capped fees with even a basic shop now and what about if the buyer uses paypal? whos going to pay the paypal fees, eBay?

and using a poorly developed feature is also not my cup of tea, everywhere i check forums managed payment is a mess.

even the old system could not handle basic stuff like when you answer a question to a customer from a different eBay site it wants you to use your UK credentials to log into that eBay site while are not even registered there... and they want us to give bank details to them?

any advice ?

there aren't any capped fees for business sellers, with or without a shop

where do you get double the fees from?

you will be paying one fee that will cover the final value fee and receiving the payment

paypal doesn't charge buyers for paying with paypal and as the payment won't be being paid into a paypal account there won't be a paypal fee to receive the payment

old system:

5% (max. £20 for Shop subscribers)

new system:
funny enough i cant find it anynore on the help page
but it was listed for the above category as 6% up to 400pound and 2% over 400pound additional fee per sale.
do the math.
and paypal will be still an optioon for customers to use as payment, and paypal charges fees for sellers, but nothing about that.

I never use those categories so didn't realise there was a cap

as you won't be paying the paypal 2.9% a rise from 5% to 6% is a saving surely?

paypal charge sellers to receive the payment, you won't be receiving the payment through paypal so there won't be a fee,

unfortunately it was described the over 400pounnd comes on top of the under 400pound fee,

i dont know where it went it was described right under the old system...

paypal charges any seller private or business after the received money, so if a customer uses paypal on ebay which they will be able even with managed payments then who pays the paypal fee, that is not clear either

scroll down to the extended list of managed payment fees, luckily they had it screenshoted at 22nd of June, it was on eBay help pages too but now they replaced it with a sentence youll see when you register:))))

, also PayPal silently stopped giving discounts on fees.
