Fees on Second Chance Offer after max £1 Final Value Fee ended

Hi.

Looking for a bit of advice as I can't find this specific question in the Selling Help Guides. I listed an item during the maximum £1 Final Value Fee promotion. My item sold within this period and the buyer was due to collect the item (which cost £140) on Wednesday. By this time, the FVF promotion had ended and the buyer then decided he no longer wanted to buy it.

My question is, if I offer this as Second Chance to the next highest bidder, will I then have to pay the 10% FVF as this falls outwith the promotion (even though the listing ended within the promotion period)?

If this is the case then I would rather wait for another promotion to re-sell the item. Anyone else here think the FVF rate is far too high? It is often not worth selling after ebay and Paypal fees have been deducted. I used to sell quite often before 2010 but can't remember what rate ebay charged then, I'm thinking around 5% or 7%.

You would pay the 10%. The offer only applies to first listing.

Thanks. So if the Second Chance was offered during the promotion I guess I wouldn't have to pay the fee?

The T&Cs say "Item must sell within the first listing period."
