Collection Only - Tracking Information

I sold an item yesterday as collection only, the buyer has paid by Pay Pal and left me possitive feedback however there has been a hold placed on the payment to me saying funds won't be available until 3rd June. When I look at the payment hold on the item it says tracking information not showing as delivered, how do i resolve this

We don’t have delivery confirmation for your item yet so we can’t release your payment until . You can get your payment sooner if you upload tracking that confirms delivery, or if you receive positive Feedback from your buyer.

You can only prove delivery by using a tracked means which you can't do if your buyer collected in person.

You will probably have to wait the full 21 days for your funds to be released.

In future ask for cash on collection for items collected in person.

Hi Guinevere, thanks for your reply. I will ask for cash if this scenario occurs again, it is tricky though as the purchaser obviously wants to protect themselves in these uncertain times because the item in question (A smart TV) couldn't be tested as social distancing dictated) Hopefully due to the fact he left positive feedback should help with obtaining funds sooner than 21 days

In future for a collection item put in the listing "Cash on Collection Preferred AFTER INSPECTION". Solves the problem of a hold on the money and no Paypal Fees.
