it depends on what is said in feedback comment that can get it removed, for example, in another neg you left you said 'reported to eBay'.

If the seller has asked that neg would have been removed.

Dodgy seller rating

I recently bought a digital thermometer from a seller who claimed it was in Manchester, but it arrived 2 weeks late in a package with a UK postage label pasted directly over a Chinese one. And it didn't work. So I've started the returns process, and I've raised a complaint with Ebay that I think the seller is breaching their location policy - and I'm not the only person complaining about this in their feedback.

But having looked at the seller's feedback a couple of times I think a load of negative feedback has suddenly and magically disappeared - about 30 out of 60 negatives , including my own, and their feedback score has jumped from 98% to 99%. How is this possible? Nobody asked me if I was willing to change my feedback, which I wouldn't have done. And if seller feedback can be manipulated what's keeping sellers honest? My personal experience is that Ebay is increasingly weighed down with people selling cheap rubbish at inflated prices on the basis that it looks ok in a photo, and that it's becoing pretty much a waste of time and money for buying smaller items. And this doesn't exactly increase my confidence.

I asked this question in my complaint to ebay about the seller, but it seems like they won't reply.

I hope that you've used the correct process, which is to open a case under eBay's money back guarantee. You do this through the resolution centre: http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

A case must be opened within 30 days after the actual or latest estimated delivery date. If the seller wants the item to be returned, eBay will enable them to send you a prepaid return label (this may not apply if the item location was outside the UK). After 8 days the option will appear to escalate the case for eBay to step in, if necessary. If still unresolved, escalate it, and don't agree to close the case before you have your refund.

If the item location was claimed to be in Manchester, do NOT be conned into returning it to China. EBay will require the seller to provide a prepaid return label to their UK address.

If the item was misrepresented as being located in the UK, but was actually send from China, you can report this to eBay using the reporting link provided in every listing (far right, opposite Postage and Payments).

Report Category: Select 'listing practices'.
Reason for Report: Select 'other listing practices policy violations'
Detailed Reason: select 'Item location misrepresentation'

Location Misrepresentation Policy

https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Announcements/IMPORTANT-ACTION-FOR-ITEM-LOCATION-MISREPRESENTATION-POLICY/ba-p/6260425

If you buy an item from a seller that says UK and it comes from somehwere else then open a not received on day after that latest estimated day of delivery on the listing

Escalate aftrer 8 days to get your money back

If it then arrives after you either repay or ask for a return address label to return it

The item goes back to the address on the listing the UK address

Ebay customer services are not working properly at the moment due to the Covid-19

They dont really answer awkward questions anyway just from acripts

Some feedback can be removed

See the link
