Question Re: Feedback in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

You say the item was brand new, but your description says Used, and that the shaft is broken, granted never used to hit a ball, but still not brand new as it is damaged.

You could try and call eBay CS again, they do give out different answers, explain clearly the buyer is asking for something that was not offered in the description.

I have received negative feedback - yet it is the buyer who misunderstood the listing. He expected something additional with the item, but I did not mention he would get it in my listing, nor was it in the photos.

The buyer has refused to amend the negative feedback & as always, Ebay are as much use an ashtray on a motorbike, favouring the buyer!

Ebay say I should offer the buyer the opportunity to return. But the item was brand new & as it is sporting equipment sold a couple of weeks ago, would now have been used. They said if I don't offer this option, there is nothing they can do.

It all seems grossly unfair - any suggestions?

The buyer could force a refund if that's what they wanted and you wouldn't be able to dispute it so at the minute you're already winning.

Here's how I'd approach this:

Go to help and contact us at the top of the page, select call me back.

When you get connected tell the eBay CS rep that you put a dunlop head cover on the club as part of the packaging to ensure it didn't get damaged in transit. Tell them that you've been negged for something that wasn't part of the listing and is therefore irrelevant, and that you believe the UK's enhanced seller protection policy protects sellers from feedback in exactly these circumstances.

They may or may not agree, but I'd keep trying until I got someone who did - that neg is ridiculous.
