Does anyone know how much it costs to send a small package from Italy to the UK? I am being quoted €24-€30 for a return. Thanks.

The Post Office will be able to quote you rates for international postage, or you can look them up online, see: https://www.royalmail.com/personal/sending-parcels

Thanks for replying but I wanted to know about costs back from Italy to the UK rather than from UK to Italy.

If it was the an item being returned and it was on the GSP then you need to read the policy carefully

I could be wrong but as far as I am aware you would only pay the UK postage

Nobody knows the size and weight of your package so you'll need to go to the Italian post site and work it out yourself.

Hi and thanks. Yes it was through GSP but Ebay says (see last sentence) :

"Returns from international buyers are not handled through the Global Shipping Programme at this time.

All sellers – If your buyer asks you for a refund, you’re only expected to refund the cost of the item and what you charged for domestic postage. We’ll take care of refunding the international postage charges. Please handle any return postage costs directly with the buyer, depending on the reason of the return.

Hi, yes I tried that but when I put in another country, rather than an Italian post code, it said there was an error!

Yes so you pay the domestic UK return costs......you are not liable for the Italy to UK costs although eBay are very ambiguous about that

But doesn't it say that I have to handle any return costs with the buyer? If they insist on me paying them €30 what can I do? Ebay usually support the buyer.

Who is quoting those costs?

We do not have a Crystal Ball so cannot possibly guess what is being returned, what the size is or weight or value.

The buyer is quoting. It is a small package. Weighs less than 1kg, size approx 20x10x10cms. Thanks

If your Buyer has opened an Ebay Case for Item Does Not Match the Description. You do have to pay the Return Post from Italy. If they claim it has been Damaged in Transit you ask them to open the Return Case and you reply that it was a Global Shipping Sale "Damaged in Transit" and Ebay will deal with it.

They are just saying it isn't working properly. It was when I tested it before I sent it. It may or may not have been damaged in the post. Who knows? I understand his position.

Your Buyer needs to open a Returns Case. All Returns have to go through Ebay. Once you have Refunded your Selling Fees will be Credited back to you.

Do you mean you are out of time for the ebay dispute

You would have to check the Italian postage yourself perhaps online.
It would be hard for us to say or anyone unless they lived or had connections with Italy

The buyer has to send it back by a tracked method of postage to be covered by any money back guarantee

No, in thr dispute process now. My 'past' reference was to 'your buyer needs to open a return case'.
I tried to get a quote on line from Posre Italienne but itheir site didn't work.
