Hi been with eBay for over 20+ years , mainly just buying , but have sold items years ago with 0 issues . Out of the blue today ,I received an email stating your account has been permanently suspended ,your actions put the community at risk or wording similar 🙈🤷‍♂️ It's not only annoying ,but upsetting you can't get an answer to why ? Basically I have 100% feedback , pay instantly for items I buy and never had any issues and get my account terminated without explanation. Can anybody give me a clue why eBay would do this ?

This doesn't sound right to me.

Best time to do this is just after 8am Mon to Fri or just after 9am on weekends/Bank Holidays.

It's 100% true Roger , replied to the suspension notice via eBay messages and basically got same message back again suspended permanently.. I managed to get through on the phone from link , and account has just been reinstated but they won't tell me why they suspended it permanently ? So frustrating ,like I said not selling , just purchasing . Kicked of without any explanation why ?

Hi Roger account now reinstated thanks for your help, they wouldn't tell me why my account was permanently suspended or given me any information at all , just asked me a few questions about my purchase history , and payment methods . The only thing I can think off was I uploaded a debit card to make an offer, as I now only make purchase payments via Google pay . The offer was refused so I removed my card. And I complained about an item that wasn't as described and didn't fit the item it was supposed to replace . I left neutral feedback for the seller stating it didn't fit with pictures showing it was far to small . The next day my feed back was removed and I was suspended permanently and told to return the item to china at my cost .

The other thing on that day was 🤔 I complained about an item that wasn't as described and didn't fit the item it was supposed to replace . The next day my feed back was removed and I was suspended permanently and told to return the item to china at my cost . 🤷‍♂️ Totally unfair as the part was advertised to fit my item and didn't so unfit for purpose. Postage from Uk back to china was more than the item was worth . I've also asked for my data as you've also suggested . Then I think after receiving it I'm going to** Permanently close my Account** On principle with eBay as I don't like there attitude at all and the way they have treated me and that they have the ability to just terminate your account without any explanation. Especially after being a member 20 + years on the site with 100% feedback and great reviews.

This is a very interesting thread for the reason that a 'Permanently Suspended' account, is just unheard of for eBay to reverse that decision, let alone discuss the reasons for the suspension, truly this is a first! Good to hear though.

However, I may be asking my own queries here, as I see your account was suspended for buying issues, not selling? Is this correct?

If so, then is seems for accounts suspended for buying misdemeanours, eBay will discuss the issues which led to the suspension, and if proved to be unfair they thankfully, reverse the decision and reinstate the account.

It's good to know that there is this obvious big difference then between permanent suspension for buying issues and those for selling , as for the latter there is no comeback and a permanent suspension is one for life.

Yes definitely buying ,not sold anything on eBay for years . On speaking to them ,they would not tell me why or give me any explanation why they had closed my account 🤷‍♂️I honestly just don't understand why they did what they did and said I was a threat to the ebay community ?

I've asked for my account data , hopefully this might give a clue to why
they felt the need kick me off eBay

Aaah, so far then as explanations go, it is the same, that is, eBay Customer Services will not go into any detail why the account was suspended, and will just suggest to you to look back at any eBay messages.

In my humble opinion, if it results in an account being reinstated, then maybe silly not to give the reasons why the account was pulled, so that you can afford those pitfalls again. Not knowing what they awere, may be difficult to then avoid ? ! 🤔

That is exactly what I said in the phone call ,can you not tell me what I've supposedly done ,so I can avoid doing it again 🤷‍♂️.

Previously to the phone call I messaged them by replying to the suspension email link , and asked why? . I received a message back basically repeating word for word the suspension email and that my account be permanently suspended .

Giving no explanation to why Yet stating ** I was a threat to the community **
