Why do eBay repeatedly allow vendors to lie?

I am in the UK and ONLY want to purchase from the UK, so why when I select UK only do I keep finding my purchase now comes from China and takes a month?

If a vendor claims to be UK then I should not have to going through the cancel orders route.

I don't not want to be implicated in custom tax evasion when the vendors lie about the content and value

everything at 1p!

Why do I have to go through the cancel options and wait a month to get my money back (if I'm lucky) when I should have a direct report to eBay.

Vendors that make false claims regarding the service or product should be immediately fined and kicked off for bringing eBay into disrepute. Instead, while they are making money hand over fist, they continue to lack an ethical policy.

Another reason to use Amazon.
