I bought a yogurt maker and it has a chinese power cord. This was not mentioned or shown in the item description.I am so disappointed (I'm lying,I'm angry)as it was supposed to be a gift. What should I do?Is it a good reason to ask for a refund? How could the options :''Item doesn't match the description or not as described''be the reason for the return ?if it just was only not mentioned .So there was no lie but just the lack of information.

If it doesn't work in the UK with no mention that it's not viable for use here then, yes open the return case for item not as described.

I'm presuming then it was bought from a seller registered in China? If so, don't be fobbed off if the item had a UK location listing for the seller to tell you it needs to go back to China and you're liable for the postage. That's incorrect on both counts.

The item goes back to the address in the UK , and the seller pays for the return of the item IF they want their item back first.

On opening the case listen to excuses or promises from the seller, they have 3 days to refund or send that postage label, if they don't, you need to escalate on day 4, eBay step in and force the refund.

It says postage :located in the UK,there is also full english address in the sellers' details. The label does not show

the sellers' address, just 2 chinese letters.I think CNDS may mean it came from China.

Excellent advice as ever @tressygirl but you missed out the word "don't" in the last paragraph - I think it should read "On opening the case don't listen to excuses or promises from the seller..."

@beksa10 CNDS Express is a courier company which suggests the item was either shipped from China, Hong Kong, Singapore or possibly purchased on AliExpress, with the seller having it shipped directly to you. The last possibility would explain the Chinese characters on an Evri label.

No matter - if it has a Chinese power cord and cannot be used in the UK then follow tressygirl's advice and open a Not As Described return case - but remember to include the word "don't" in the last paragraph... : )

Is it a good reason to ask for a refund? dam right it is. your in uk you you should expect a uk plug, unless they said otherwise in listing which they haven't. so yes open case as not as described.
