If I listed my NBC Sales Manual for sale at say £50 and the options available to the buyer were £20, £30 or £40 then, if they went for the second option, I would honour that as I would still consider it reasonable but if they went for £20, I wouldn't even reply because the NBC Sales Manual is as rare as hen's teeth. Sometimes, I do think that some sellers are having a laugh with Buy-It-Now prices and the offers they'll accept...just like those who went on Four Rooms years ago; they had a price in mind but got a bit greedy and went above it.

As for the sellers not seeing the 3 options given to buyers, well, that speaks volumes about eBay priding itself on transparency - it's about as transparent as opaque window glass!

offers

Today, I made an offer on an item that had been relisted...all because the seller was daft enough to misplace the item in the first place. When I went to make on offer on said item last year, he accepted the first of three options that eBay had provided but this time round he didn't. I think that, when such offer options are provided by eBay (for example, £14, £15 or £16 for an item that is £17) then they should accept whichever option the buyer clicks on and not make a counter-offer.

If I had a psv badge for sale at £30 and enabled offers, then I would accept whichever offer option the seller clicked on because making a counteroffer could be putting them off.

Never seen that! You get 3 chances to get an offer accepted, but as far as I was aware the buyer chooses how much to offer. The seller simply sets a price, allows or disallows offers and can set a minimum offer price.

If you made an offer before that was accepted try messaging the seller and remind them that you were disappointed before.

about the offer thats true i see that all the time. but its not daft to misplace an item especially if you have loads of items all over the place or in plenty of boxes.
