Help with GSP

Getting very confused with trying to sort out Global Shipping plan.

I am listing some china which I feel may do better selling overseas. I've enabled GSP which is fine and chose select when I want it. I dont want it on most of my items so this suits.

I know I send it only as far as UK depot etc and they take it from there.

But what cost implications are there and downfalls. I've been reading about vat and international charges, and final value fees and im wondering if its worth the hassle.

Do I enable everywhere or are there countries to avoid , is everywhere standard? Really probably only want Europe and USA.

Is it worth the hassle (if there is any).....

Honestly, you are worrying far too much about it.

As you said, all you have to do is to send it to the GSP centre. After that, it is entirely handled by Ebay.

So if there are any issues with delivery etc after that point, irrespective of where it is going to, it is Ebay's issue.
The same applies to any tariffs etc.

Or to put it very simply, there are no issues with using it.

What you have probably been reading about, is not GSP, but people shipping themselves. That can indeed run into issues, as you are responsible for the entire process. And fees are added to the extra shipping charge that you may add, when doing this yourself. They are not applied to GSP shipments.

There is an international fee of 2.5% which really shouldn't make a great deal of difference.

I'll be surprised if the GSP has been applied to any of your listings for china.

Thank you, very helpful. So you dont think leave any countries out etc just do it as a whole and let it run its course.

I've been on ebay for 25 years and only just enrolled in it today.

But of course when you start reading about it it gets confusing.

So tarrifs, vat, fees etc I dont need to worry about? Send it to the centre and rhats it?

Also as I had not ever shipped abroad I had my exclusion list as everywhere.

So ive read i can leave it that way but obviously on gsp listings this would over ride the gsp and not be available to any countries that I have excluded.

So I read there is a button on gsp edit that allows gsp to override exclusion list on gsp listings.

I have followed all the instructions and cannot find this button.

Any ideas thanks?

I use this program.
Absolutely everthing on it is as default.
I don't care where they ship my items, as it is not my problem once shipped safely to their centre.
There are countries excluded from time to time when there are wars and such like, but it really isn't something to worry about.
Unless you have a specific reason for not shipping to a country, then just leave it, add it to your listings and forget about it.

If a country is excluded from GSP, then you cannot switch it back on.

You literally only have once choice here, either turn it on or not. That really is it.

China/glass listings often don't have the GSP successfully applied to them.

Thanks I understand this bur for some items I won't be shipping internationally.

I will just do uk like ive been doing. Hence why on my settings I have all countries excluded which I want to keep.

But for my new listings that exclusion list will override gsp.

It says there is a button to allow gsp to over ride exclusion list when using it on listings. But I cant find it.

I only want to use gsp on some expensive china im selling. Not on anything else

which is fine but my usual exclusion list will over ride the gsp on those listings.

returns can be an expensive time consuming nightmare ,you are usually responsible for return method and cost ,from any far flung outpost or settlement on the planet that GSP delivers to
