https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/ebay-revenue-down-and-still-falling-in-2025/m-p/7816072#M718612 <P>I'm still curious about the figures for the 5 years prior to 2012 and any trends they show, sorry but I can't find them.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>2013 was when ebay announced FVF on P&amp;P in their Fall (September) Seller Announcements.</P><P>What that shows me is that revenue increased in '14 (due to the fee increase?) and continued to grow until '17.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Ebay started the change-over from paypal to Managed Payments in a limited way in the second half of 2018 and rolled it out more widely in '19, completing the transition in '21.</P><P>What that shows me is that again revenue took a hit but bounced back, again due to the fee increase?&nbsp; Also in '20 / '21 aided by Covid lockdowns.&nbsp; &nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Since then we've had a several years of high inflation.</P><P>Without knowing the pre-2012 trend and why such a plunge 2013, in IMO it doesn't look too good.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Since 2013 and allowing for inflation (especially in delivery costs), revenue looks to be almost flat-lining.&nbsp; Take out the above increases in fee revenue it might even be in decline and all the apparent growth simply down to inflation?</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>What I'd expect for 2025 results?&nbsp; Another sharp reduction followed in '26 by a rebound due to increased fee revenue, but little in the way of any real growth in sales.</P> Tue, 01 Apr 2025 11:50:07 GMT theelench 2025-04-01T11:50:07Z
