topic Re: EBay it’s the end for private sellers. in Seller Central https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/EBay-it-s-the-end-for-private-sellers/m-p/7777418#M704513 I've been selling there for years, slowly but steadily.  The reason is simple  --  because buyers can find my stuff  --  because the search searches for what the buyer writes in the search box not for what they write + listings with Sponsorship, then tacking some un-sponsored listings on at the end. I used to wonder how the posse of Watchers could always find my listings although they had no intention of buying at the asking price or even putting in a bid, but real buyers rarely could, even if they were searching for exactly what I'd listed. It's obvious really.  Ebay hides my listings from collectors who will pay a reasonable price by making them invisible.  But facilitates the professional re-sellers with the ability to scroll down the results adding anything interesting to their Watch List without even viewing it.  They'll also know to add any seller who lists interesting stuff regularly to their Saved Sellers List.   No more scrolling for them, they have a direct route to those sellers and their items that real buyers don't.Just one of the reasons that ebay has become useless to both private sellers and private buyers these days.
