To make sure that you don't run into any problems you will have to ensure that the e-mail address on your eBay account is identical to the one on your PayPal account. The procedure for updating your e-mail address for each site is given below:

eBay: Go to your My eBay page and click on the Account tab. When the drop-down menu appears select "Personal Information". When the next page loads up scroll down until you get to the section entitled "E-Mail And Contact Information". The first line below the heading reads "Registered e-mail address" and it has your e-mail address next to it. If this needs to be updated click on the "Edit" link to the right of this. You will need to log in again for security reasons but once you're back in change the e-mail address to the one you're using now and then save the changes. The new e-mail address should now be saved on eBay.

PayPal: Once you've logged into your PayPal account go to your My Account tab and click on "Profile". When the next screen loads up you should see your e-mail address on the second line. Click on "Update" to change your e-mail address and add your new e-mail address. A few minutes after adding the new e-mail address you should get an e-mail from PayPal with a link in it asking you to confirm the e-mail. Click on the link to confirm it and go back to your e-mail page in your PayPal account. Select the new e-mail address and click on "Make Primary". At this point it would be worth logging out of PayPal and trying to log in with the new e-mail just to make sure it works first. If you can get in with the new e-mail address go back to your e-mail page and select the old e-mail address. Click on "Remove" and the old e-mail address will be deleted from your PayPal account. You can now log out of PayPal.

Once you've completed the process of updating your e-mail address on both accounts the new e-mail address should now be set as the default e-mail address for both eBay and PayPal and you can now forget about the matter.

I have tried that but it says my new e-mail address is already taken.

The thing is it was my e-mail address but I cannot get ebay to change it.

So at the moment I am not getting any e-mail notifications from e-bay

They supposedly send you a code to your registered email, in order to change your email address , and it takes 1 hour and 2 minutes to get into your mailbox !!!!! Why can they send a sms to the phone registered to you account ?????
