Same here in previous years I’d spend my Sunday packing eBay parcels and remember the days of 6-10 sales a day at weekends. I’ve had one small sale yesterday so that won’t be taking long. However I have been selling well on another platform. Granted I’ve had to accept lower prices but with lower fees and no postage to pay therefore no eBay postage tax I’m not losing out much. Yesterday I did 7 parcels on that site and drove down to the in post locker on the way to pick up my takeaway and they are already on route to the customers

I’m very disappointed with how things have changed on here especially the fact that as business sellers we have to compete with private sellers who pay no fees and are flooding the market with cheaper products even though they are clearly businesses
for me the increasing fees with eBay telling us we need to promote and pay even more to just be seen is totally wrong I’m downgrading my shop here next month and increasing the numbers I list on another platform because I just can’t justify giving away almost half of my sales to fees including a hefty shop fee

i used to have a space in a local antiques shop some years back but was paying £200 a month and just about covering that in sales. It was a no brainer that it wasn’t worth my time and effort to do that so I closed up I can see the same thing happening here. So far this month I’ve only sold £262 and out of that I’ve actually only got £126 in my pocket after paying fees and shop fees so if I take the cost of the items I’m virtually making a loss. I can’t sustain this so I’m gluing to have to downgrade. It’s so sad. Because eBay is no longer the platform it once was
