So it's likely to be a tariff percentage of the overall amount PLUS a customs fee of $10+, with the item being held until payment has been made.

A chunk of US buyers are simply going to stop buying form abroad, and of those who do, a number of them will not notice the new change to additional tariff fees and ignore any requests for customs payment - electing to go for a refund for non-delivery. (Although I'm assuming they would lose their original postage paid due to the non-payment).

I expect the whole system is going to grind to a halt, with a huge backlog of items due to slow payers and other items ready to be transited back to their destination after a few weeks of non-payment. I hope the return system will cope and parcels don't end up just disappearing down a black hole, never to be seen again.

I'm switching off the US on my settings at the weekend until I start seeing reports from other UK sellers dealing with US non-customs payers. Although with the massive reduction in US buyers I doubt switching them off will make much difference.
