Amazon allows for a note on a delivery for any kind of complications e.g. key code or which buzzer to press.

Countless times deliveries could have been better managed with instructions, but is it possible with eBay ?

In those instances, it’s because Amazon has their own courier network.

its also worth noting those notes used to be left as well for the business I work for who sold on Amazon. Didn’t use FBA so they were despatching the orders via Royal Mail. They never even got read because they didn’t actually get picked up by the third party order management tool used.

eBay doesn’t. So there would need to be a means to pass that data onto the seller on eBay, who then would need to pass the message onto the courier they use.

Some sellers allow notes to be left with orders. We don't for precisely this reason - you'd get buyers explaining their house was the third one from the end of the road with the gnome with the yellow hat in the front garden.

What would be done with the info?

- If its a private seller - there's nowhere for that information to appear (as they either use a QR code or a formatted printed label)
- If its a large business - similar - they will likely have pre-formatted labels. Even others might hand write the address on the envelope .

And then you are still reliant on the courier actually doing something with the information.

I believe what you can do for a lot of the major couriers is create accounts in their apps or on their sites and add this information for your address. Evri for example below (Royal Mail and DPD I think have similar options). This would also cover you for far more sites than just ebay as well.
