So ordered two items, one last Sunday sent on Monday, the other Monday sent out Tuesday, paid for express, neither has been delivered yet, one says out for delivery today which won’t come now as posties gone the other tomorrow but I’m willing to bet it won’t. Rubbish service really.

Hi dal_958297,

I know it's frustrating when parcels take longer than expected. Royal Mail services can sometimes be slower during busy periods or due to local staffing or weather disruptions, so even "express" deliveries aren’t always next‑day. The "out for delivery" status is generated at the start of the round, but if the driver runs out of time the parcel is usually delivered the next working day.

If your item hasn't arrived a couple of days after the estimated delivery date, the first step is to contact the seller and check the tracking number. eBay’s guidance says that when the estimated delivery date has passed and an item hasn’t arrived, buyers can open an “item not received” request through their order page【4145423809553†L87-L96】. The seller then has three business days to provide updated tracking or resolve the issue【4145423809553†L95-L104】. If it’s still not delivered after that, you can ask eBay to step in and they will help you obtain a refund.

Hopefully your parcels will show up soon – most delayed Royal Mail items do arrive within a day or two. In the meantime, keep an eye on the tracking and reach out to the seller if there’s no movement. I hope this helps!

– Vikanug

Just days ago it was reported that RM have ben fined, again, for missing required delivery targets. Often parcels sent 2nd class arrive just as quickly as first, so paying for enhanced delivery can be a waste of money. I sent my passport, when renewing, tracked 48 hours, and it was delivered 10 days later. I did get modest compensation, but the service was very unsatisfactory.
