About adding your card on eBay account

Hi,

when I add my card on my eBay account, shall I put the security code as well.

If eBay are asking for this information, then you add it.

When adding/ paying some things first time with a credit card , I have always found they ask for that 3 digit code.

No, not when adding it to your account. The security code (CVV2) must only be provided when actually paying for a transaction. Merchants are not allowed to store this code as its purpose is to ensure that the person making the payment is actually in possession of the card thus providing an added layer of protection for transactions where the card is not physically present.
