Botnet found by my AVG antivirus

I viewed item from seller **** on my tablet and PC and both times an AVG antivirus alert popup said 'We've safely aborted connection on www.linnpoint.com because it was infected with URL: Botnet". Further details show: https://www.linnpoint.com/eBay/unitedexpo/styl3.css

I couldn't get through to a person on the phone so I emailed ebay, who politely responded 'Thanks for your suggestion. We appreciate your input. However, we can't respond to suggestions like this because we may have been working on a similar idea internally already, and we want to avoid any potential misunderstandings around the ownership of the idea.'

This is not a suggestion, and I have no demands about proprietary rights.

I just want to know who is trying to infect my PC, the seller or EBAY.

Worthwhile to run free scans from 'Malwarebytes' (.com) and 'Ccleaner' to check for, and remove malicious files, cookies, keystroke loggers etc. in your device/s.

Thanks, fargvs for your helpful suggestions, which I have followed.

My account details are unchanged, so I believe AVG cought it before it had time to infect my PC.

But my question is why, when I open item #3255 3097 0051 does AVG repeat that it has aborted the connection. Does everyone get this message from their antivirus program when they look at this item?

Can an ebay item's advert contain a botnet virus?

Do we all have to be worried?
