Guilty Pleasures

Anyone have any guilty pleasures they are prepared to admit to?

I caught a docementary on TV last night about John Denver. Reminded me how much I like his musuc so I'm indulging myself at the moment. My favourite is not one of his most popular, but a song called Don't Close Your Eyes Tonight. Turns my legs to jelly whenever I listen to it.

Having accepted and come to terms with the reality that I am not going to live to a ripe old age, if I enjoy it, I do it and I don't feel in the slightest but guilty.

If I want to watch TV until 4am and then sleep until mid-afternoon, I do it.

I eat what I fancy, and to heck with if it is good for me. If I fancy junk food then junk food it is.

i love time team, couldnt say its a guilty pleasure though

i find that some of the things created so long back would struggled to be done now without a fair amount of head scratching about what tools and methods were used to make such beautiful things

can learning through history ever be a GP

i think myself these days only Janet evanovich's Stephanie Plum books could be classes as a GP lol 🙂

As other peeps have said I love time team also listen to john denver in the car also have a susan boyle cd in there and everyone thinks I am nuts.(so whats new)her version of amazing grace is the best...but I do not think they are guilty secrets .I think they are just things I like.guilty secrets are getting up at 3 am and eating a whole bar of chocolate and hide the wrappers.

I suppose my guilty pleasure is eating too much chocolate and drinking too much wine.

The secret bit is always remembering to put the wrappers in the bin and the bottles in the bottle bank!

I suppose YES mine is CHOCOLATE,,well all sweet things actually. But i did have a listen to The Gypsy Kings the other day as i was feeling a bit naughty. Naughty thoughts go with naughty music,thats a Guilty Secret of mine. But then if you enjoy it why should you feel Guilty?. Ive actually put it in a Nutshell here with these things. I like Naughtiness and Sensuality!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Good on yer Rose, but the Gypsy Kings aren't guilty for me, they are well-out-of-the-closet, legitimate pleasures. Although I don't give in to fantasies about being ravished by a nut-brown Romani in a bow-top caravan..... My guilty pleasures are my Carpenters and Roger Whittaker CDs. And my Hello Kitty DVDs.

my guilty pleasure ....crisps...any kind of crispy snack, those made from corn...wotsits, in fact any of them! I love those cheese footballs that you get at Christmas time, I could eat a whole tin of them, well there's not many in them...

I don't buy them as I can't leave them alone, how shameful is that for a 59 yr old!!!!!

Well I suppose mine would be chocolate, but it's not very secret! I'm not supposed to eat it

but I do occasionally have some, but I buy very small bars so I don't have too much 'cos, like

Captain, I can't not eat it if it's there!

A non-food-related one is wild swimming. I love to swim in "secret" places, well not perhaps that

secret but places where one might not immediately think to swim in. It makes me feel wonderful

and all exilerated. I am always very careful though as everybody thinks I'm bonkers and doesn't

want to do it with me!

Just you go careful, you hear a lot about people swimming in disused quarries and the like and coming unstuck!! If you do it when nobody else is there you have no one to help you in an emergency!!
