Just wondered if any of you peeps have used these cashback sites, where you do your shopping through them and earn cash back? I keep seeing adverts for "Qui*co" where people reckon to save several hundreds of pounds by using them. Being a very cautious person, I just wondered whether they are too good to be true?

I would def recommend it

I use Q**dco all the time if you are going to buy from the internet whats an extra click

You do get some great savings, you just have to be patient and forget you have signed up and gone through them and you will soon see the pennies mounting up

I have never had any problems with them

i used to use quidco

but back then (i dont know if its changed)

they charged you, well they took the 1st £5 you earned,

they had a lot less retailers, and less payback than topcashback

topcashback you can ask for it anytime, either in cash, or amazon voucher codes (for which you get a little bit more than your balance)

quidco you had to wait for a payment cycle

i get between £400-£600 a year back

Hi they are definitely worth using - I have literally "earned" hundreds of pounds. I use Qui*co and T*opcashback - depending on which offers the best deal - they each have different offers on at various times of the month etc.

Last year just on two car insurance policies we got £50 cashback on one and £60 cashback on the other one.

You are not guaranteed to get the cash back for instance if you took out a house insurance quote and then you had to speak to an advisor at the insurers you could potentially not get the cash back because you have not fully completed the transaction on line.

They are well worth doing though in my own experience.

Yes they are very good. Quidco has just changed their payment polocy so you can have your money when you want, the same as TCB. I just need reminding to use them when I shop on line!

i didnt know they had changed Maggie

though its been a while since i used them

i think quidco was one of the first and i used them for a couple of years very successfully

topcashback just seemed easier and then it offered more cashback

i did use their clicksnap thing for a few weeks

its odd

if you buy the certain items on the list (its ususally pretty normal standard stuff)

upload a pic of the item of your receipt and you either get money off (40p 60p etc)

or sometimes if an offer on you get it free

same as topcashbacks snapnsave

it got a bit silly in our house

as they would be out, check the list when in a shop

we had a mountain of packets of kitkats

they ended up being free so they had all got them

i was giving them away to anybody who came

people started to avoid the mad kitkat lady

Registered with Quidco ages ago but forgot all about it until last year when i did a house insurance quote. Ended up saving more talking to the company direct and getting advice but have earned a bit since. Haven#t really got into the uploading stuff but did register the card and promptly forgot I had only to get an email saying I had 99p to come. Must make more use of it.

Hi your post made me go and look at my account summary with Qui*co and was amazed to find that this is my cash back amount

Total confirmed & paid cashback

£1,236.12

This is over a period of about 5 years - so I suppose yearly it is not that great an amount, but it is all money that I would not have had. I never purchase anything unless it is the cheapest anyway, by that I mean I would never pay say £30 more for insurance in the hope that I would get £50 cashback via Qui*co. It is not guaranteed so unless its cheaper I wouldn't risk it. I may if it was just a £1 or £2 more.

Also I was recently impressed with Qui*co - I used their query service to find out why a confirmed transaction was taking so long to be paid back to me - they emailed me to say that they agreed it was taking too long so they paid it to me then and there and said they would chase it up with the supplier themselves - they didn't need to do that, so I thought it was quite good customer service.

I eventually joined Quidco a few years ago after it was recommended on here. It's great.

I also now have a Topcashback account, but mostly use Quidco, although I hate their new website design!

Quidco have changed the fee thing now as well - they have basic and premium membership (free / £5)

I used to arrange OH's hotels through work, and also make a lot of purchases for them, so I can get some quite good quantities of cashback.... and I have been paid a total of £12k cashback since March 2010

I currently have £500 confirmed (which means it will be paid eventually)

So, yeah, it's worth it 🙂

Also - there is another one called "giveasyoulive" that again, someone on here mentioned.

The cashback goes to the charity of your choice 🙂

I do this for retailers that are not on the other sites - like amazon.
