Glass Cleaner

Today, by accident, I picked up the wrong spray...

instead of Mr.M glass cleaner - I sprayed my windows with Febreeze...

I can honestly say, they have never looked so clean & sparkly...

how weird is that ?

Oh well not only are they sparkling they do not smell either ! . I still prefer water with a little vinegar and a buff up with newspaper.

I got one of those micro cleaning cloths years ago when they first came out and the superstore had them on offer with a demonstration booth.

I've never gone back to using any window cleaning products since then.

I use one of those to wipe down the glass in my shower & never need to use any chemicals on it at all.

They are microfibre & look a bit like toweling. I don't like the feel of them much but they are really good. I have one in the car too for the windows.

Hubby was most confused when he bought a new spray to use on the car windscreen. He just couldn't understand that window spray was the last thing you wanted to use for a smear free windscreen!. We use a general kitchen cleaner.

I used one of the Cif Wipes the other day and it cleaned my big mirror up a treat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

talking of spray cleaners , lol

i thought i would try a new one, got a vinegar one from wilko

its been ok where i have used it so far

only problem is that we all fancy fish n chips about 10 mins after i use it 😐

There are a number of different brands now, but some of them are a bit useless.

The original one I got is called an e-cloth and it came with another kind for glass as a freebie - and that's the one which works wonders, but I don't know what that is exactly as it doesn't have a label or brand printed on it.

I found Mr. M window cleaner rubbish, as I have to clean one of my windows almost on an hourly basis, (Dog slobber) I don't bother with chemicals either just water and a touch of vineger, and one of the microfibre cloths (Idon't like the feel of them either),

Once I put it in the wash and forgot it was in there and added fabric softner that made it useless took ages to get the softner out.

250ml of warm water and the juice of a whole lemon.

Place in a squeezy bottle. (one with a spray trigger).

Spray on to windows and wipe/buff with a clean, lint free cloth.

Perfect results every time.

Costs about 12p for the lemon and each botle lasts for about 3 months.

I like the miro fibre cloth's they clean everything brillently but have to wear a rubber glove as i cant stand touching them !
