Hi, does anyone know if there is a limit on a single item for chip and pin please, need to pay £895

Presume you mean "Debit Card"?

In a word, no, a word of caution, perhaps, depending on your bank, yes. :^O

Overall, "it depends".

If you've enough money in the A/C, some will allow the transaction then block the card until you contact them. Others won't allow the transaction deeming it "suspicious acyivity" if you don't usually spend large amounts on the card.

Best contact them to make sure?

I paid over 750 pounds by pin and chip card had no problem with that at all.

Im only able to take £500 a day from an ATM.. But can pay big bills by Direct Debit

I paid £2000 for something by Debit Card but the bank blocked it until I rang them to say that the payment was genuine.No problem after that
