We very rarely watch anything ' live', because of those long advert breaks, but must admit when the odd live show is on, and no ability to fast forward those pesky adverts, then yes, I have purchased some items , new on the market, which I've never seen before.

The ones I remember , was a cleaning product, turned out to be expensive and rubbish, a new face cream certainly did Not do all it promised to, and a new flavour Pringle crisp!

They do have subliminal powers !

Advert breaks?

I was watching National Geographic when the ad-break started. First there was a trailer for an upcoming programme, then followed twelve adverts (yes, I counted them) followed by two more trailers. The next ad-break was conprised of two trailers first, followed by thirteen adverts and then two reminders of the next two programmes.

I wonder, do people actually take any notice of the adverts and do they ever buy something that they've seen in those adverts? I can't think of anything that I've bought after seeing a TV advert but what about you?

An hour long programme will soon be half adverts at the rate they're going?
