Covid-19 vaccine .....

Now that the vaccination programme is about to be rolled out soon, are you in the yay, nay or maybe after you see some results of others taking it camp if you are offered it ?

Personally I am in the yay camp if it gets me back to some kind of normality in the future because all these constant precautions are beginning to affect me.

I personally will be very cautious and certainly not taking anything for the moment - I am not anti vaccine, but the circumstances surrounding CV19 seem odd to me. Not going into the reasoning as we would all be googling the day long.

Everyone must make their own minds up and draw their own conclusions. It does concern me that it appears 'those that rule us' are trying to make it anti-social to not have the vaccine - almost a peer pressure issue, which won't work with me or my wife. I know we are not alone in this thinking.

Best of luck to everyone who is going for it - I'll be waiting.

I think that we should all be Vaccinated as apparently it does protect you from being seriously Ill. Even though you can still Catch it and Pass it on which is quite worrying in reality. Would hate to think that I was putting my 4 Grandchildren at risk. Being as they are all under 22 years of age they probably won't be eligible for the Vaccine for how ever long that is going to take ???

If you want it thats fine, but no-one should be made to have it - that is a step too far!

I think your grandchildren are more likely to be putting you at risk than you them. If they are young then the overwhelming majority of youngsters have no issues - unless there are underlying health issues, if so they will be vaccinated should they choose it.

I won't be having the vaccine. The whole virus thing is a massive con, and indeed...it has been described as the biggest Crime Against Humanity ever perpetuated.

And that really is the point - having the vaccine will protect others just as much as protecting those being vaccinated.

Mandatory vaccination won't happen, I'm fairly sure. I wouldn't be surprised though if vaccination certificates were issued in the short/medium term. If certificates were issued I can see venues only allowing entrance on production of said certificate.

Its more likely that they will try and say you have to have the certificates in order to travel overseas - which is a way of putting your arm up your back and making you have the vaccine. If that happens I would immediately join any campaign to ensure the same was true for anyone who wanted to come to the UK - which would only be fair.

I for one would be prepared to fight for my right to not have the vaccine until some future date - when I am satisfied it ticks all the safety boxes and works! At the moment no matter what they say I think that is questionable and anyone with half a brain cell should be asking many questions and doing some research before they join the queue.

My point regarding my Grandchildren is the fact that I will be Vaccinated a long time before my Grandchildren are. If I caught the Virus, even after being Vaccinated, I would be fine but they wouldn't

Nothing wrong with research so long as you check out the sources of so called "facts".

There is just so much rubbish spread on the net - dangerous rubbish. We've been all through that with MMR vaccines and seen the results when children haven't been vaccinated.

I have not seen any reputable source nor scientist that has suggested that taking the proposed vaccines will be more dangerous than not taking them.

I'm fairly sure that airlines will insist on passengers having been vaccinated, on both incoming and outgoing flights.

You are correct there is a lot of rubbish on the net and a lot of propoganda - for both sides of the argument.

As I say I am most definately not 'anti any vaccine' just sensible and will do my research and watch carefully what is happening before I throw myself into anything! ...act in haste repent at leisure.

I hope the vaccine works for everyone!

Why did I know that you would reply with those words!😀 The virus is real...and older people, especially those with health problems, should be very careful. But the hype around it is not a conspiracy theory Creeky . You need to do some serious research. The numbers given out for 'cases' and 'deaths' are grossly exaggerated. You will see in the New Year...I think people are in for a big shock.

Margaret...that's very sensible. No one knows if there are any long term problems with this vaccine, or what they could be. And if you become ill, or have serious side effects, you cannot Sue the government or the manufacturers. They have covered their backsides nicely there. Just remember....the same people who have been hyping up the fear are the same people who want you to have a vaccine that has not been properly tested.

I think it's time to have a longer look at the situation?

Are we all agreed that covid-19 is a virus? From a similar family to flu? We're all aware of flu?

Now, you've heard of "Spanish Flu" which caused millions of death around 1918? The title is a misnomer, that got tacked on to it later. In several reports, it's stated that strain of flu actually started in China in 1917 and was carried out of there by a band of labourers who took a circuitous route before ending up in Europe.

So how does flu start? = It's said it's a mutation of viruses carried by birds and animals (pigs?) and picked up by humans and is then transmitted by personal close contact? It all sounds familiar?

So, we're agreed that it's an actual disease and it's transmitted by close contact?

So how'd you stop it? Now that's a good question because looking at the Spanish Flu situation, if you rely on "herd immunity", long before that is effective, millions will die. Whether they die due to the virus or by other problems aggravated by or caused by the virus is still up for debate?

We have "flu jabs" available which give protection for 3 strains of flu and those three are guesstimates of which strains will surface in a particular year. If a different strain becomes widespread, the flu jab obviously doesn't work.

So, will the covid-19 jab only be effective for the particular strain of this year (and current mutations) or will it protect for longer. We just don't know?

Where do we go from here? For a start I think we need to pour plenty of cold water on all these silly conspiracy/control "theories". The trouble is, the believers won't enter in to any rational debate/discussion about it leading to calls for them to be referred to as "flat earthers", now there's a subject for discussion?
