Anyone else?

Opening the RT takes me to a "Business Seller" page. Clicking my Favourite link takes me back to that page. Sometimes just refreshing the RT page takes me to that page. If I manage to open the RT, it's an "unsigned in" RT.

If I click "sign in", it takes me back to that page. Clicking "sign in" on that page takes me back to that page and it still shows "sign in".

The only way I seem to be able to get to the RT and actually sign in is to click a thread and when it opens click"sign in" on there and...... here I am.

I've been experiencing problems when signing in, although not specific to the Round Table. Before the problems started occurring I could just click on the Community link at the bottom of the page and it would take me straight to the page wth the contents down the left hand side of the page, which I could then click on and respond to any thread within that section. However, of late, although I've been able to see the menu, it's had a "Sign In" button at the top which doesn't work, and when clicking on a link to a thread and trying to reply to the thread I just get transferred back to the previous page. The only way around the problem that I've found so far is to go back to My eBay, run a search for something, then when the results come up I just click on the Community link again and then try to log in via the Sign In link. If I just keep on trying it'll eventually work, whereas on some occasions, like today, I didn't even have to sign in using the "Sign In" button, as everything was all logged in and ready to go. It seems like eBay's relentless determination to screw up the site knows no limits...

I think eBay's team of Village Idiots must have been working overtime recently, having been told to "improve" the website significantly...

Same here. I don't usually need to sign in as I just keep myself logged in all the time on my laptop but this week my landing page has been the Community page every time! I try to sign in from there but it takes me back to the same page.

So I find the only way to sign in is to go straight to one of the boards and I'm immediately signed in! Crazy!

I'm not being asked to sign-in, I'm getting the Community Home Page and when I click "Discussion Boards" I'm taken to the Home Page again. (Very slowly).

More annoying is that "Notifications" will not appear until I reply to a thread. Which I discovered by replying to the Continue a Word thread, last night.

Also, everything is now so slow.

Right, I was up and running on here in less than half a minute!

I'm using a laptop, I don't sign out, I just close the "lid". When I open up, I power up and the two tabs I've left open appear. One is the RT. I pick a"short" thread (because they open quicker), click that, when it opens either sign in or if you're already signed in, click "Message listing" and you're on the RT first page.

Yet another load of problems trying to log on today. I gave up earlier this morning as I was rapidly losing my patience with not being able to get beyond the eBay Community home page - the notifications and PM boxes used to automatically show up before with no need to click on "Sign In" and I could then access any thread and post a response within seconds, yet since eBay's latest round of "improvements" that no longer happens and I have to try to access the forums using the "Sign In" link, which most of the time doesn't even appear to respond!

Why is everything on the boards so slow? Why are Notifications not showing up automatically? Why multiple Sign-In requests and two Home Pages?

A (possible?) theory.

With this latest outbreak of tinkering have they somehow routed everything through multiple servers? So instead of going from A to B, we are now wandering from A to C to A to D to B or some such??

I know what you mean about the go slow.

Every time I click to go on a new page I have to wait so long I have time to have a quick hoover round while I wait.

Well, it would appear that eBay have undoubtedly succeeded in screwing up yet another aspect of the site! Perhaps one or more of their main servers has gone down and they're now having to run the site on the back-up servers whilst they're trying to fix the problem with the primary servers in order to get them back online again. If that is indeed the case then judging from eBay's track record of fixing site problems I don't hold out any hope at all of eBay ever getting the problem resolved completely. Unfortunately I suspect that this is yet another problem of eBay's making that is here to stay...
